By: Fast Time Media

5/3/23... Watsonville California: Friday Night, Kaleb Montgomery would be back in action on Friday Night at Ocean Speedway with the Taco Bravo Sprint Cars. A strong field of 25 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area ready to roll on Friday Night.

The night would get going with qualifying, where Kaleb would be the 17th car to hit the track. Despite going down late, Kaleb would lay down a lightning quick time. That would end up putting Kaleb quick time overall in qualifying.

He would then lineup on the outside of row two in 4th for his heat race. The car would be on rails in the heat race for Kaleb. Starting 4th, he would begin his charge forward. He would end up getting to the lead & going on to win the heat race.

"Friday night night was above expectations. I went quick time and won the heat."

Kaleb would make the dash where he would roll off from the 6th starting spot on the outside of row three. Starting 6th, he would have to fight to gain spots. He would end up gaining one spot & finishing in the 5th spot.

That would put Kaleb in the 5th starting spot for the feature event. Kaleb would quickly start making moves. He would find himself quickly in the top-3 & battling for 2nd. Kaleb would grab 2nd & turn his attention to the leader. Unfortunately, he would run out of time & finish 2nd.

"Started 6th in the dash and managed a 5th. From there we went on to run second in the feature."

Saturday Night, Kaleb would be in action aboard the Keller Motorsports #2k as they would be in action with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars. A strong field of 20 Winged 410 Sprint Cars would be in action in the NARC return to Antioch.

Kaleb would get the night started with qualifying, where he would be the 8th car to hit the track. The car would have some really good speed early, as Kaleb would wheel it to 4th quickest overall in qualifying.

He would then lineup on the pole of his heat race. When the green flag fell, Joey Ancona would grab the lead. Kaleb would battle with Justin Sanders for 2nd as the leader pulled away. Kaleb would hold onto 2nd in the heat race.

"Onto Saturday we started the night off well with 4th in qualifying. From there I ran second in the heat."

That put Kaleb starting 7th in the feature. Kaleb would quickly get rolling, figuring the track out early. He would get up to 5th but his car would quickly go away. He would start to slip back through the field, eventually falling a lap down & pulling off the track, ending his night.

"The main was not what I was looking for so I pulled in once I got lapped. That’s not how I want my nights to go so I’m spending all the time in the world this week to get the 410 right."

Overall, it was a solid weekend for Kaleb. He would have great speed in both the 410 & the 360. Unfortunately, the 410 feature would not go the way he wanted but he continues to get better every time he hits the track.
