6/6/24… Petaluma, California: Saturday Night, Anthony Bruno was in action at Petaluma Speedway. He would be in action for the second time in 2024 behind the wheel of the Wingless Sprint Car at Petaluma.
Anthony kicked the night off with a good run for them trials. He would be the 8th of 13 Wingless Sprints to hit the track. Going on towards the later half of qualifying, he still put down a good time which would time him in 3rd quickest overall.
The heat race came around & Anthony didn’t get the result he wanted. He’d roll off from the inside of row two in the 3rd spot but fell backwards. He’d fall back to the 5th spot from 3rd & would finish the heat race there.
“We qualified 3rd quickest overall. Fell back in the heat, started 3rd & finished 5th.”
Going out for the feature event, Anthony started on the inside of row five in the 9th spot. With the track being one lane, it was hard for Anthony to move towards the front. He ended up having to settle for an 8th place finish to end the night.
“Started 9th in the main & finished 8th. It was a one lane race track with almost no ability to pass. All in all it was a good night as the car rolled right in the trailer!”
While the result wasn’t what Anthony wanted, it was a solid second night in the Wingless Sprint for Anthony. He qualified well & moved forward in the feature in his second run of the season.
