6/13/24… Watsonville, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Anthony Bruno was in action with the WMR Midgets. The weekend started out at Ocean Speedway on Friday Night, before they headed to Petaluma on Saturday.
Friday Night started out with heat race action for Anthony. He’d start the heat race out on the pole. From the pole, he quickly jumped out to the lead & never looked back, as he went on to grab the heat race win.
That set him up to start the feature event on the outside of row three in the 6th spot. Anthony would quickly begin to move towards the front & gained a pair of spots. After starting 4th, Anthony made his way to 4th where he’d finish.
Going into Saturday, Anthony looked to have another goodnight. Saturday kicked off with heat race action where Anthony started on the inside of the front row on the pole. When the green fell Anthony fell back to 2nd. From there, he’d hold onto the spot & settle for a 2nd place finish.
Once again going into the feature event, Anthony started in a solid spot as he rolled off from 3rd. Starting 3rd, Anthony races around there for the entire feature. He was able to hold onto the 3rd spot & finish there to round out the podium.
It was a good weekend for Anthony as he brought home a 3rd & 4th place finish. Two top-5 finishes add to what has been a pretty solid start for Anthony to the 2024 season.
