5/9/24… Ventura, California: Saturday Night, Anthony Bruno was back in action with the WMR Midgets at Ventura Raceway. After a few rainouts, it was time for the series to return to action on Saturday Night.
He would begin the night with heat race action. Anthony started on the outside of row three in the 6th starting spot. He quickly went to work & was able to move forward. When the checkered fell, Anthony was able to make his way up to the 2nd spot where he’d finish.
That put him starting 4th in the feature & once again he went to work. Anthony was able to make his way forward & began to battle for the lead. Unfortunately late in the race while battling for the lead, he’d catch a right rear that bright his night to an end.
“Started 6th in the heat & finished 2nd. Then Anthony started 4th in the main event & after an all race long battle for the lead I unfortunately caught a RR that ended our night. We had a really fast car & it sad way to end the night. We will be back, rebuilt & ready for the next WMR race.”
It wasn’t the way that Anthony wanted the night to end, but he was once again fast & had a race winning car. They’ll rebuild & be ready for roll for the next WMR race.
