3/23/24... Ventura, California: Saturday Night, it was finally time to open up the 2024 race season. The WMR Midgets would kick off the season in Ventura as 6 Midgets were in attendance for racing action on Saturday Night!
Anthony started the night out with heat race action where he rolled off from the outside front row in the 6th spot. His teammate Bryant Bell jumped out to the lead. From there, Anthony would follow Bryant & go on to finish the heat race in the 2nd spot where he started.
The feature saw him roll off from the outside front row in the 2nd spot. When the green fell, Anthony jumped out to the early lead. He as able to run a good race, holding onto the lead from the drop of the green to the checkered & go on to grab his first win of the season.
"In the heat race I started outside front row next to my teammate bryant bell. He was able to get the jump & take the lead. I was able to follow & finish 2nd. I started on the front row outside for the main. I was able to get the jump on the start & hold together a clean race & with a green to checked main I was able to snag the first win of the season," Anthony added. "I cannot thank Boscacci racing for giving me an amazing opportunity & an amazing car to drive all night. Looking forward to what the rest of the season has in store."
It was an amazing start to the season for Anthony Bruno & his team. He would quickly find himself in victory lane & will be looking to add more wins to his resume this season as he seems to be on pace for a big season this year.
