7/2/24… Chico, California: Saturday Night, Billy Aton was back in action. He made the trip to Chico California to run at Silver Dollar Speedway. Thirty cars would be in attendance with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars.
He started the night out with time trials. Billy would go out early, as one of the very first cars to hit the track. Going out third in the group, Billy was able to lay down a time of 12.779 which was enough for him to time in 8th quickest in the group.
Going out for the heat race, Billy was in a good spot as he started on the inside of row two in the 3rd starting spot. Rolling off from 3rd, Billy fell back to the 4th spot. From there, he’d hang on & finish the heat race in 4th.
That locked Billy into the feature where he rolled off from the outside of row eight in the 16th spot. Starting 16th, Billy was able to stay out of trouble. He moved forward a pair of spots, getting to 14th where he’d finish the feature event.
It was a good run for Billy at Silver Dollar Speedway. He was able to stay out of trouble, & finish the night with a solid finish as he came home in the 14th position.
