8/2/24… Santa Maria, California: Saturday Night, Billy Aton was back in action with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars. It was the series return to the track for the first time since 2021 where Billy grabbed his only series triumph at the track.
Billy kicked the night off with time trials. He hit the track & looked to lay down a good lap to start the night. Laying down a time of 13.154, it was a solid lap & enough for Billy to time in 14th quickest overall out of 21 410 Sprint Cars.
Going out for heat race action, Billy started on the inside of the third row in the 5th starting spot. Not much passing happened in the heat race, as Billy held onto the 5th spot & went on to finish where he started in the 5th spot.
In the feature event, Billy once again had a solid run. He battled hard & was able to make his way forward. When the checkered flag fell on the feature, Billy ended up finishing in the 8th spot & grabbed his 2nd top-10 of the season.
Billy grabbed his 2nd top-10 of the year & also tied his season best finish with an 8th place finish. Overall, it was a good night for the Billy Aton Racing team as they now have some time off until the next NARC race in October.
