11/7/23... Stockton, California: Saturday Night, Billy Aton was in action at the Stockton Dirt Track. It would be his final race of the 2023 race season & the final race of the NARC 410 Sprint Car season.
The night would begin with time trials. Billy would be the 12th of 19 Winged 410 Sprint Cars to hit the track to qualify. He ended up laying down a time of 13.788 which would be enough to time Billy in 14th quickest overall.
Billy went out for the heat race where he'd line up on the inside of the third row in the 5th starting spot. Starting 5th, it would be hard to track on a hooked up Stockton Dirt Track. After starting in the 5th spot, Billy would end up finishing where he started in the 5th position.
Heading into the final feature of the year, Billy went out & started in the 15th position. He'd begin moving forward, before spinning out. Billy tagged the end of the field & once again began to move forward. He'd charge his way up to the 11th spot & earn the hard charger award.
It was a good end to the 2023 race season for Billy Aton. Billy would finish the season 7th in points, including 4 top-10's & a season best finish of 7th in Petaluma on July 8th.
