6/28/24… Show Low, Arizona: Friday Night, Austin was in action at the Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway. With a strong field of 17 Sands Chevrolet Wild West Sprint Cads in attendance, the field would be tough on Friday Night.
The night started out with a solid heat race run for Austin. He would roll off from the inside of row two in the 3rd spot. Battling hard to stay up front, he’d fall back to the 4th spot, but ended up holding on & finishing in 4th.
Rolling out for the feature event, Austin was slated to start on the inside of row six in the 11th spot. Starting 11th, Austin went to work & began to fight his way forward. Unfortunately while trying to move forward, Austin would get caught in someone else’s mess which brought his night to an end.
“I just got caught up in someone’s else’s mess Friday night in the main event. We tore a lot up, more than we were able to fix & replace for the next night.”
It was an unfortunate way to end the weekend. Austin was supposed to be in action on Saturday as well, but the damage was too much for him to be able to continue the weekend.
