2/7/24... Casa Grande, Arizona: Friday & Saturday Night, Austin was schedule to be in action at Central Arizona Raceway to kick off the 2024 season. After Friday was rained out, Austin would kick off the season on Saturday.
He would start Saturday Night out with Heat race action. Austin started his heat race on the inside of row three in the 5th spot. Things quickly took a bad turn, as he'd get involved in an incident. His rear end & drive line would end up breaking bringing his heat race to an end.
They werent able to fix the car at the track so his night seemed like it was done. An opportunity might have presented itself to run a different car for the feature. Unfortunately, things didn't quite work out & Austin's night would come to an end after heat race action.
It was not the start to the season that Austin had wanted. He entered the weekend with high hopes, but after rain on Friday & a wreck on Saturday, his weekend came to a swift & unlucky end.
