Bailey Jean 14th at Skagit Speedway!

By: Fast Time Media

5/20/24… Burlington, Washington: Saturday Night Bailey was back in action at Skagit Speedway. It was the third points race of the season, but just Bailey’s second after she missed the first race of the season. She looked to continue to get more comfortable in her new car on Saturday Night.

The night started out with time trials, with Bailey being the 19th & final car to hit the track. Going out last, Bailey was able to lay down a solid lap. With a time of 12.507, Bailey would end up timing in 15th

quickest overall.

Heading into her heat race, Bailey rolled off from the inside of the third row in the 5th spot. While Bailey was able to battle for 4th, she’d ultimately end up staying in 5th & finishing where she started the heat race in the 5th spot.

”Started off qualifying 15th which was a step in the right direction. Track was very slick all night, an uneventful heat race was 5th to 5th. I feel that our set-up was better in the heat though as we were challenging for 4th. We are working with our motor builder to get more heat in the engine & retain it while racing.”

Bailey set herself to start the feature from the 15th position. With the track being slick & one lane, it was hard to pass. Bailey ended up ripping off some good laps, & ended up gaining a spot, finishing the feature in the 14th spot.

“Our car was still running cold but we salvaged a 14th place finish in the feature. Again a slick track, starting deep was pretty one lane. We are hoping to continue getting our eagle chassis tuned in, it’s a lot different than my previous notes so we are basically starting from scratch.”

It was a good night for Bailey & her team at Skagit Speedway. They continue to get good notes with the new chassis & Bailey has improved so far whenever she hits the track. They’ll be back in action on Saturday Night at Skagit Speedway for the John Carroll Classic!

Bailey would like to thank her sponsors: Art By Nature, Dunlap Industrial Hardware, Buzz Inn Granite Falls, James M Bass Trucking, Bickford Ford, AA Plunbing LLC, Esthetics By Kenny, & Fred & Sharon Crabtree.
