7/18/24… Watsonville, California: Saturday Night, Billy was once again in action with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars. It was a big night of racing at Ocean Speedway as he was in action for the Howard Kaeding Classic.
Billy started the night out with time trials, where he was the 10th car out in the final group of qualifying. Going out late, Billy was able to lay down a pretty good lap. When it was all said & done, a time of 11.601 was enough for Billy to time in 8th quickest in group two.
That set Billy up in a good spot for heat race action. He rolled off from the inside of row two in the 3rd starting spot. From 3rd, Billy would end up falling back a few spots. He slipped back to the 5th spot where he’d finish the feature.
Despite falling back in the heat race, Billy locked into the feature & rolled off from the 18th spot. The green fell & Billy went to work. He ended up slipping back a spot, falling back to 19th & finishing the feature event there.
Overall it was a solid night for Billy at Ocean Speedway. He was able to lock into the feature event & would go on to finish the night with a 19th place finish.
