Billy Aton Grabs Pair of 20th Place Finishes at PMC!

By: Fast Time Media

5/18/23... Hanford, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Billy Aton would be in action at Kings Speedway with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars for the Peter Murphy Classic. Both nights, Billy would end up taking home 20th place finishes.

Friday got started with qualifying, as Billy would be the 2nd car to hit the track. Unfortunately the track would get faster as qualifying went on & Billy would end up 19th quick. He would then roll off from 7th in the heat race & finish where he started in 7th. In the B-main, Billy would start 2nd & end up hanging on to finish in the 5th spot, putting him in the feature.

The feature event saw Billy roll off from 23rd. Early on, Billy would begin to move forward, finding himself battling inside of the top-20. However, as leader James McFadden would go to put him a lap down, they would head for the same piece of real estate, sending Billy spinning & hurting the car, ending his night with a 20th place finish.

Saturday Night, Billy would be back in action & look for a better result than Friday Night. Once again, he would face some very tough competition, as the best of the best would be out in full force ready to battle for $11,000.

Qualifying would see Billy roll out as the 26th & final car. That would unfortunately hurt him as the track had slowed down & he would end up going 26th quick overall. That lined Billy up deep in his heat race where he would start 9th. Despite starting 9th, he would battle forward & finish 6th in the heat race.

That started Billy in the 18th spot for the feature event. Starting 18th, Billy would battle with some tough competition as he tried to move forward. Unfortunately, he would end up getting caught a lap down & finish the feature in the 20th spot.

Overall it was another solid weekend for Billy & his team. While he had issues Friday Night. Saturday Night would go smoother as he showed good speed in the heat race & they rolled the car into the trailer on Saturday Night.

Billy would like to thank his sponsors; TPU Transport, Products Unlimited, Bill Aton painting, Red Line synthetic oil, Triple X chassis, MTFX Graphics, Sellers race wings, K & T truck repair, D & H construction services, and Plant Reclamation.
