3/19/24... Chico, California: Saturday Night, Billy would kick off his 2024 race season with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars at Silver Dollar Speedway. The puts would fill up quickly on Saturday, as 32 410 Sprint Cars were in attendance on the night.
Billy began the night with time trials. He was the 8th car to hit the track in group 2 of qualifying. Being one of the last cars to hit the track for time trials, Billy would end up laying down a time of 11.991 which was enough to time in 14th quickest in the group.
That would line him up to roll off from the inside of row four in the 7th starting spot for his heat race. Billy would impress in the heat race. After starting 7th, Billy was able to make some big moves & get himself into the 2nd spot where he'd finish & lock into the feature,
Heading into the Feature, Billy would roll off in the 11th starting spot. Early on, he'd battle & try to move his way forward. Unfortunately, on a lap 8 restart, Billy would get into an incident where that brought his night to an early end,
Overall, it was an up & down night for Billy in Chico. After not getting the lap he wanted in time trials, Billy impressed in a heat race & was able to grab a 2nd place finish, before a rough ending to the feature & night.
