5/17/23... Watsonville, California: Friday Night, Blake Bower would be back in action with the WMR Midgets at Ocean Speedway. He would end up grabbing another win, his first of the year. Then on Saturday, he would head to Petaluma, where he would have a rough night & finish in 9th.
Friday began with heat race action, where Blake would roll off from the pole spot. After starting 1st, Blake would dominate the heat race & go on to grab the win of the heat race.
That put Blake starting on the pole of the feature event as well. Starting on the pole, Blake would continue his dominant night. He would go on to lead every lap of the feature event, and take home his first win of the 2023 race season.
Saturday, Blake would be back in action at Petaluma Speedway. He would start the heat race in the 2nd spot on the outside of the front row. Blake would not have the same success as Friday, as he would fall backwards one spot & finish the heat race in 3rd.
He would lineup from 5th in the feature event. Unfortunately, the struggles would continue throughout the feature. Petaluma would be very hooked up & Blake would fall backwards. He would end up finishing the feature in 9th.
Blake had a very good weekend with the WMR Midgets. He would grab a win on Friday & another top-10 on Saturday. He looks to carry that momentum into future WMR Midget action this season.
