6/27/23…Stockton, California: Saturday Night, Bryant Bell was back in action at Delta Speedway. It would be his first time behind the wheel of a Micro Sprint in 2023. He had a rough start to the night but ended up finishing 8th.
The night began with qualifying, where he was the 19th Non Winged Micro to hit the track. It was his first time behind the wheel so things got off to a tough start. Whilst battling right rear shock issue, Bryant ended up going out & going 17th quickest overall.
Bryant lined up for his heat race on the outside of row three in the 6th spot. Unfortunately this issue continued, as the right rear shock would not cooperate. He ended up finishing the heat race where he started in 6th.
“We fought against a dead RR shock all night but did the best with what we had. Qualifying and the heat race we did do to great because we couldn't get the right rear to hook up at all.”
He started the feature event from the outside of row nine in the 18th position. Bryant was finally able to get into a rhythm as the race went on. As he rolled off from deep, he began to charge his way forward. When the checkered flag fell, he finished in the 8th spot.
“For the main we made some big changes to help with the dead shock which worked fantastic. We started 18th and slowly worked around people and kept out of trouble and finished 8th! It was a super fun race running the boards and throwing sliders!”
It was a solid ending to a tough start to the night at Delta Speedway. He would recover from a disappointing qualifying and heat race to bring home a 8th place finish in the feature.
