7/7/23… Visalia, California: Friday, Saturday, Monday, & Tuesday Bryant Bell would be in action for California Speedweek action. The week would be highlighted by a 12th place finish at Dixon Speedway on Monday Night.
Friday got the week off to a pretty tough start. He would go out late for time trials & ended up timing the 72B in 38tg quickest overall. The heat race would only make the night worse. Bryant would not make it out & he would miss the heat.
That lined Bryant up on the outside of row six in the B-main. If he wanted to make the feature he would have to charge forward, and do it fast. He started to move forward, but would come up a few sports short as he finished 5th.
On Saturday, the night got off to another tough start. He went out even later than Friday & timed in 31st quickest again. He then started the heat race from the inside of row four in the 7th spot, and would finish in the 6th spot.
He lined up for the B-main in the 5th spot on the inside of row three. Starting 5th, Bryant was just a few spots out of a transfer position. This time he would move forward, but once again came up short as he finished 4th.
Dixon Speedway action would get off to a much better start. He times in 15th quickest overall. Then started the heat race on the outside front row before finishing in 5th. That put Bryant on the pole of the B-main & he would go on to win it.
That locked Bryant into the 19th spot on the inside of row ten. Starting deep, Bryant would begin a charge forward. He ended up gaining seven spots, going from 19th to 12th & finished the Monday Night Feature Event there.
Bryant started the Tuesday Night Speedweek finale by timing in 35th quickest overall. That lined Bryant
up on the inside of row four in the 7th spot. He would gain one spot in the heat race & finished it in the 6th position.
He started the final B-main of the week on the outside of the fourth row in the 8th spot. Bryant would put together a solid run in the B-main. He would move forward three spots in the B-main & would finish 5th, ending his night & weekend.
It was an up & down week for Bryant Bell across California. He had some tough nights & some solid nights that wound up with a week best finish of 12th.
