7/20/23… Watsonville, California: This past weekend, Caleb Debem was in action at Ocean Speedway for two nights of racing at the Howard/Kaeding Classic. Caleb would also take his first laps against the NARC 410 Sprint Cars.
He started Friday out with qualifying as he was the 8th car to hit the track. Caleb ended up timing the #3D in 22nd quick overall. He then started the heat race from the outside of row four in the 8th spot & went on to finish there. That put him in the B-main where he started & finished 4th.
Caleb started the feature event from the 22nd spot. He would try to keep his nose clean & run a solid & consistent race. Caleb started to move forward & ended up finishing the feature event in the 17th position.
Saturday Night, Caleb took on the NARC 410 Sprint Cars with his 360 under the hood. He started the night out timing in 7th quick in his group. Caleb started the heat in 7th. He would get upside down, but make it back out to finish 6th. That put him in the B-main again where he started 3rd & finished 4th.
For the Saturday feature, Caleb rolled off from the inside of row twelve in the 23rd spot. Starting 23rd, Caleb would once again begin to move forward. In his first race against the 410’s Caleb moved forward & brought home another 17th place finish.
It was another good weekend for the young driver. He had some solid speed, and brought home a pair of 17 place finishes.
