5/1/23... Watsonville California: Friday Night, Caleb Debem would be back in action at Ocean Speedway for his second ever Winged 360 Sprint Car race. A very strong field of 25 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would make the trip on Friday Night.
Caleb would get the night started with qualifying, where he would be the 22nd car to hit the track. He would go out late as the track started to slow down. Going out late, Caleb would end up 20th quickest overall.
"Qualifying was on the top so I just kept my foot in it."
That would line Caleb up in the 7th spot for the heat race. Unfortunately, it was a one lane track around the bottom of the track for his heat race. That would make it hard to pass, as Caleb would go on to finish where he started in 7th.
"In the heat race it was a bottom lane track, so there wasn’t much room, I started were I finished."
He would roll off from the 19th spot in the feature event. Early on Caleb would lose his brakes as he would try & battle through it. Caleb would get some valuable laps in the feature, and would finish it in the 15th position.
"In the main I got 15th, I'm not sure where I started but I had no brakes so I had to be smart with what I could do."
