6/21/23… Watsonville, California: Friday Night, Caleb Debem would be back in action at Ocean Speedway for the 6th points race of the 2023 season. Caleb brought home his best finish of the year, as he would bring home a 7th place finish.
The night would begin with qualifying, where Caleb would be the 11th of 15 cars to hit the track. Going out late, Caleb would lay down a time of 11.690. That put the driver of the number 3D 10th quickest overall.
Caleb started the 2nd heat race from the inside of row number three in the 5th position. Starting in 5th, Caleb would battle to stay in the top-5. He would do just that & when the checkered flag fell on the heat race, he would finish in 5th.
He then started the feature event from the outside of row number five in the 10th spot. Starting 10th, Caleb would move forward, as he tried to grab his first ever top-5 finish. Unfortunately he would get caught up in an incident. He would end up falling backwards & finishing 7th.
Despite getting caught up in an incident, Caleb still brought home a 7th place finish. That would be the best finish of his young career, and his 2nd top-10 in just 6 races.
