Casey Schmitz Has Biggest Year of Racing Career!

12/15/22… Fast Time Media: This season Casey Schmitz took a big step in his racing career. He would spend a lot of his time in a Winged 360 Sprint Car at Silver Dollar Speedway, Placerville Speedway, or Marysville Raceway where he would collect some very good results.


He would kick his season off finishing the 2021-2022 Red Bluff Indoor season. Casey would take home some solid results in Red Bluff, as he proved to be one of the best Outlaw Kart drivers in California. That would be highlighted by a 10th place finish at the West Coast Nationals in Red Bluff.


Casey’s Sprint Car season would begin on March 4th at Silver Dollar Speedway. Casey would start his season on a strong note. In his first night of the year behind the wheel of a Winged Sprint Car, he would collect a 16th place finish.


The Summer Nationals at Silver Dollar Speedway would see Casey continue to showcase his speed. He would bring home a 12th place finish against a field of over 60 Winged 360 Sprint Cars. After the Summer Nationals, Casey would take a month break before returning to action.


When Casey returned to action, it would once again be at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico California. The 4th of July race would be one of the biggest races at the track. Casey would go on to take home his first Winged 360 Sprint Car win of his career, leading all 30 laps.


On August 7th, Casey would be in action at Marysville Raceway. Once again he would showcase his speed & when the night came to an end, he would bring the Tri-C machine home in victory lane, grabbing his 2nd win of the season.


Casey would run just four more Winged 360 Sprint Car races after that in 2022. During that time, he would continue to be fast. He would take home a 8th place finish on August 26th in Chico. Then he would round out the season with a 22nd place finish at night two of the Fall Nationals.


The 2022 season would finish off with Casey running the Red Bluff points season. On November 11th he would make the trip to Roseburg Oregon to run the inaugural Timber 50. Casey would end up coming home 5th, having a strong weekend in Oregon.


2022 was a solid year for Casey as he showed he could hang with the best that California has to offer. He would spend his time in Northern California, where he would collect a pair of wins, and multiple top-10’s.
