11/8/22…Stockton California: Saturday Night, Chance Grasty would make a one off appearance at the Stockton Dirt Track in the Snow Racing number 7 for the final race of the Sprint Car Challenge Tour season. A solid field of 21 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area and ready to go on Saturday Night!
Chance would roll off in qualifying in the 2nd group and he would be the 5th car out. He would end up having a tough time in qualifying, going 6th quick out of the 7 Winged 360 Sprint Cars that would be in his group. “We had a rough night not qualifying so good and ended up going 6th quick and just didn’t have a lot of speed still getting used to the track.”
The heat race would see Chance start on the outside of row 3 in the 6th spot. Starting 6th he would fall back to the 7th spot early. Once he got into 7th he would not be able to catch up to anyone and finish there. “In the heat we fell back early and couldn’t make up any ground and ends up 7th.”
In the feature, Chance would roll off from the 20th spot, as he would look to get some good laps under his belt & stay out of trouble. He would do just that as he would end up getting up to the 13th spot where he would end his night. “Started 20th in the feature and just hung on for a 13th place finish.”
Overall it would end up being a solid night for Chance. He would struggle early in both qualifying and the heat race. However with more laps under his belt he was able to move forward 7 spots in the feature and bring the Snow Racing machine home with a top-15.
