10/24/22…Red Bluff California: Saturday Night, Chance Grasty and his team would begin their Outlaw Kart season in Red Bluff aboard the number 22c! A good field of 39 open 500 Outlaw Karts would kick off the Red Bluff season on Saturday!
Chance would kick his day off with qualifying where he would end up showing some good speed. He would end up 12th quick out of the 39 Open 500 Outlaw Karts and set himself up nicely for the rest of the day! “We were decent in qualifying and ended up 12th.”
The heat race would see Chance roll off from the outside of the front row row in the 2nd spot. He would get together with another car early and bring out the caution. Chance would get sent to the back and end up driving his way back up to the 4th spot where he would finish the heat race.
“Started outside pole in the heat and got tangled up with another car and went to the back and ended up finishing 4th.”
From his heat race, Chance would transfer to the B-main event where he would start 4th. With 6 cars transferring he would need to finish in the top-6. However he would kind of struggle in the B-main and fall back to 8th 2 spots out of a transfer. “Then started 4th in the b main and fell back to 8th.”
Overall Chance would show some good speed for their first Red Bluff race of the season. If not for a heat race spin, Chance would have had a good shot at the feature. They’ll return next Saturday and Sunday for Night’s 2 and 3 of the season.”
