7/25/24… Petaluma, California: Saturday Night, Cooper Marchant was back in action. After a month off of racing action, Cooper was ready to roll on Saturday Night behind the wheel of the Wingless Sprint Car.
Cooper kicked the night off with time trials where he was the 8th car to hit the track out of 15 Wingless Sprints. Going out around halfway through the field, Cooper & his team narrowly missed the setup & he’d time in 9th quickest overall.
That set him up to start the heat race from the inside of row three in the 5th spot. From 5th, he was able to gain a spot. Cooper made his way up to the 4th position & went on to finish the heat race there.
“For both hot laps & qualifying we missed the margin on set-up. We made some changes before the heat race & it definitely was a step in the right direction as we moved forward a couple positions in the heat.”
Going into the feature, they’d make some more changes & Cooper started on the outside of row four in 8th. They had some good speed in the car, as Cooper was able to gain a spot & finished the feature event in the 7th position to end the night in Petaluma!
“For the main we gave it a good shot & we seemed to have good pace. All in all it was a good night.”
Cooper had himself a good night in Petaluma on Saturday Night. They had the car rolling pretty good on Saturday & he was able to bring home another top-10 finish in Petaluma against a solid field of Wingless Sprints.
