12/15/23... Press Release: This season, Cooper Marchant would begin his dirt racing career. While he didn't get too many laps on track this season, the laps he did get will be huge for him to learn from & take into 2024.
Copper's two races came at the end of the 2023 season. His first run was with the Joe Hunt Series on September 30th for the Adobe Cup at Petaluma. While he missed the feature, Cooper was able to learn a ton of stuff both on & off the track.
His final run of the season came a week later at Petaluma Speedway on October 7th. This time, he'd made the feature, and was actually able to gain some spots. Cooper would go from 13th up to 11th where he would finish & end his short but sweet 2023 race season.
While he didn't run much, it was a successful 2023. They were able to put together a beautiful machine & get it on track a couple of times. Going into 2024, Cooper will look to add some races to the schedule 8 compete for Rookie of the Year in the Wingless Sprint Car.
"Our brief 2023 season was a good introduction into dirt racing. The two races we did at Petaluma really helped our team create a format for our pre-race prep, and post race prep. As a driver I learned a lot from the short amount of time I have had on track. I am very excited to use what we learned last season and bring it into this new year. 2024 will definitely be a challenge for our whole team as we are trying to achieve rookie of the year."
