8/15/23… Visalia, California: Friday & Saturday Night, Dalton Parreira was back in action in Visalia at Keller Auto Raceway, and Lemoore at Lemoore Raceway for another double header weekend!
Dalton kicked Friday Night off with qualifying, as the 10th car to hit the track. Going out late, Dalton didn’t lay down the lap he wanted. The driver of the number 51 would time in 12th quick & put himself in a hole for the rest of the night.
That would line Dalton up in the 6th spot on the outside of row three for heat race action. Starting 6th, Dalton was able to move forwards in the heat race. He would get into the 5th spot where he finished the heat race.
A 5th place finish in the heat race would line Dalton up on the outside of the 5th row in the 10th spot. Starting 10th, Dalton began to charge forward. They would have the car rolling good in the feature, and Dalton would charge to a 5th place finish.
“Qualified poorly (12th) again which put us in a hole. Finished 5th in the Heat Race, and had me starting 10th in the main event. Car was really good, and ended up bringing another Top-5 home at Plaza.“
Saturday Night, Dalton would be at Lemoore Raceway. This time he would be the very first car to hit the track for qualifying. Unfortunately, he missed his mark again and timed in 8th quickest overall for time trials.
That would start him on the pole of his heat race. Starting on the pole, he would quickly jump out to the lead. Once in the lead, he would drive away & go on to win the heat race.
Dalton would then lineup for the feature on the outside of row four in the 8th spot. Starting 8th, it would be an action filled feature event. After some interesting battles, Dalton would get to the 5th spot where he finished the feature event.
“In qualifying I missed my marks (8th), and put myself in a hole again. Won the Heat Race, which didn’t really matter. Started 8th in the main, battled around a lot fought my way to get my second Top-5 of the weekend.”
It was a good weekend for Dalton & the team. He was able to bring home a pair of top-5 finishes despite having some tough starts to his nights.
