Dawson Faria Charges to 12th Place Finish in PMC!

By: Fast Time Media

5/16/23... Hanford, California: Friday Nighy, Dawson Faria would be in action with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars for night one of the Peter Murphy Classic. He would have a rough night, ending his night in the B-main. Saturday, Dawson would bounce back & charge to a 12th place finish.

Friday would start with qualifying, where he would be the 22nd of 27 cars to hit the track. He would end up going 23rd quickest overall. That put him starting 8th in his heat race. He would end up finishing the heat race in his original starting spot of 8th.

That would put him starting 5th in the B-main in a transfer spot. He would end up bringing out an early caution & having to restart in the back. He would start to charge forward & found himself back in transfer spot. Unfortunately, Dawson would spin in turn three & bring his night to an end.

"I just overdrove the car and caused two cautions and, with the two spin rule we weren’t allowed to continue on during the B main so that ended our night."

Saturday would get off to another tough start. Dawson would roll off as the 14th car to hit the track for qualifying. Despite going out earlier, he would once again struggle to lay down a good lap & ended up going 25th quickest overall.

That put him starting 9th in his heat race. Starting 9th, Dawson was able to get the car rolling. He would begin battling cowards in the heat race. When the checkered flag came out, Dawson had gained two spots & finished the heat race in 7th.

"On Saturday we struggled with forward drive in qualifying so we had some work to do for the rest of the night, went 9th to 7th in the heat race."

Dawson started the feature in the 20th spot on the outside of row ten. The 12B would be on rails during the feature event. He would battle forward, charging to the top-10. However Dawson would have some overheating issues late & would back off, falling back & finishing 12th

"In the feature I went 20th to 10th then I was battling with a overheating issue so I backed the car off a little to avoid hurting my motor and came home 12th. The lows of Friday to the highs of Saturday really show how crazy racing can be."

It was a very good ending to what was a long weekend for Dawson Faria & the 12B team. He would have a rough start to the weekend but finished it strong on Saturday Night.

Dawson would like to thank all of his sponsors for their support!
