Dawson Faria Grabs 20th Place Finish at Roth Classic!

By: Chris Santos

4/20/23... Tulare California: Saturday Night, Dawson Faria & the 12B team would be in action for Night two of the Dennis Roth Classic. The competition would be very tough, as a strong field of 27 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area & ready to roll on Saturday Night.

He would get his night rolling with qualifying, as he would be the 11th car to hit the track. Unfortunately, going out late would not be beneficial for Dawson. The track would be super slick & he would lay down a lap of 15.683 & end up 25th quick overall.

"We struggled a lot in qualifying. We were a little bit too free & ended up spinning the car on lap number two & had to take our time from lap one."

That would put Dawson on the final row by himself for his heat race as he would roll off from 9th. Starting 9th, Dawson would try & battle forward in a very tough heat race. He would end up gaining one spot & finishing in the 8th spot.

"In the heat race we lined up 9th, and it was pretty one laned around the bottom. Ended up going 9th to 8th, I gained one spot on the initial start."

Dawson would roll off from the outside of row three in the 6th spot for the B-main. Only six would transfer so he would have to be on his A-game to make it through. Dawson would end up holding on to the 6th spot & transferring to the feature.

In the feature, Dawson would roll off from the outside of row 12 in the 24th & final starting spot. Dawson would try & battle forward while also trying to keep his nose clean. Early on around lap eight Dawson would spin in turn two but luckily would not hit anything. He would end up keeping his nose clean & finish the feature in the 20th spot.

"Started 24th in the A-main & had a little moment around lap eight & spun the car," Dawson added. "We were just free on a slick track & it laid rubber towards the end there. Came home 20th & rolled it in the trailer."

Night two of the Dennis Roth Classic did not go how Dawson wanted it to. However, he continues to get more laps in a 410 & continues to get more comfortable.

Dawson would like to thank all of his sponsors for their support!

Dawson's 2023 stats: 2 races, 2 features, 0 wins, 0 top-5's, 0 top-10's
