5/15/24… Watsonville, California: Friday Night, Caleb Debem was in action at Ocean Speedway. It was the 5th points race of the season. Caleb looked to have a good night with just 12 Winged 360 Sprint Cars in attendance.
The night began with qualifying, where Caleb was the 4th or 12 cars to hit the track. He ended up laying down a pretty good time. An 11.851 was enough for Caleb to time in 4th quickest overall & put himself in a good spot.
Caleb rolled off from the pole of his heat race. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the heat race that he wanted. After starting 1st, Caleb would slip backwards. He ended up falling back to the 4th spot & finished the heat race there.
Rolling out for the feature event Caleb would start on the outside of the front row in the 2nd starting spot. The car would be fast all feature long as he definitely had a race winning car. He put together a good feature, ripping off consistent laps & going on to finish 2nd.
It was a good night for Caleb. It was his best career finish in a 360 Sprint Car & also his first career Sprint Car podium. He is getting closer & closer to that first Sprint Car victory.
