3/6/24... Red Bluff, California: Saturday, Evan was once again back in Red Bluff, for Points Race 11 of the Winter Red Bluff Outlaw season. It would end up being a bounce back day for Evan, as he would put together a good result.
He'd start the night out with time trials. Evan would be the 16th Open 500 Outlaw Kart to hit the track. He ended up timing in 18th quickest overall, as he laid down a time of 9.002.
That would put Evan on the pole of his heat race. He'd roll off from the front row inside & would quickly go to work. He'd be in a battle for the lead as he lead the first two laps. Evan ended up falling back to 2nd, but finished there & would go on to grab the runner up spot in the heat.
Evan locked straight into the feature & would roll off from the 8th spot. It was a good starting spot for Evan as he looked for a solid finish. He would battle hard all feature long & was able to get up to 4th at one point. He'd fall back to 6th & when the checkered flag fell, Evan came home with a 6th place finish.
"Started Pole of my heat race & ended up finishing 2nd. Then I started 8th in the main. I made my way to 4th for a bit but trailed back & finished 6th."
Overall, it was a good bounce back night for Evan with the Red Bluff Outlaws. After a rough few weekends of racing, it was a good run for Evan & he'd bring home a top-10 finish.
