3/14/23, Red Bluff, California: This past weekend, Evan Gularte & his team would make the trip to Red Bluff California for a big double header weekend at the Red Bluff Indoor track. A strong field of 18 Open Intermediate Karts would be in attendance ready to roll on Saturday & Sunday.

Saturday would kick off with qualifying, where Evan would be the 9th car out. Things did not start out well, as he would end up 8th quick overall. The heat race would see him roll off from the inside of row one on the pole. Evan would lead every lap & go on to win the heat race. That locked him into the dash where he would start on the pole. Once again, Evan would lead every lap & go on to win the dash.

"The motor didn’t run in qualifying and I ended up 8th out of 18 karts." Evan stated, "Started pole of my heat race and won it. Got lucky and got to make the dash and checked out with the win running 4 tenths faster than anyone on the track!"

After dominating the dash, Evan would roll off from the pole of the feature. He would battle hard in the feature, trying to hold on for the win. When the checkered flag fell, Evan would be the first to cross it, taking home the win going back to back. "Then battled hard in the main and came out with the win for 2 in a row!"

Sunday would get started again with qualifying where he would be the 4th car out. Despite getting only one lap, Evan would go on to qualify QuickTime overall. That would line Evan up on the inside of row 3 in the 5th spot. Starting 5th, Evan would drive up to 2nd & finish their but unfortunately miss the dash.

"Forgot my transponder in qualifying so only got one lap. I ended up turning a good lap and going quick time. " Evan added, "The transponder issues caused me to start behind invert cars so started 5th and got up to pass for the lead on the last corner and ended up 2nd by .04 seconds."

Evan would unfortunately miss the dash, but would still roll off from the 7th spot. Starting 7th, Evan continued to show off his speed. He would quickly get up to the top-4 before a coil wire came out. He would head to the hot pit where his team would get it fixed. They'd get him back on the track, where Evan would drive all the way back up to 2nd where he would finish.

"I started 7th in the main, and worked my way up to the top 4. Then my coil wire came out and I went to the hot pit and got it fixed. When I came back out I worked my way back up to 2nd!"

Overall it was another great weekend in Red Bluff for Evan Gularte. He would take home a win, and a 2nd place finish, nearly winning the past three races at Red Bluff.

Evan would like to thank his sponsors; Jesse Colwell Racing, Gularte Racing Team, Factory QRC, L Delo Designs, and Mettec.
