6/1/23... Oroville, California: Friday Night, Evan Gularte would be in action at Cycleland Speedway in the Open 500 division. It would be a double header weekend that would be highlighted by a 9th place finish on Friday Night.
Friday Night began with qualifying, where Evan was the 10th car to hit the track. He would end up going 11th quickest overall. That put him starting 3rd in the heat race where they battled motor issues & finished 7th. Evan started the B-main in 5th & would drive forward to a 2nd place finish & make the feature.
Evan started the Friday feature in 18th & began his charge forward. He would showcase a ton of speed during the feature event. The driver of the 17m charged forward, gaining nine spots & finishing in the 9th spot.
Saturday Evan would be in action looking to build off a solid ending on Friday Night. He would only have a qualifying race on Saturday & would roll off from 3rd. Evan gained one spot during his qualifier & finished it in the 2nd spot.
That started Evan in the 12th spot for the Saturday Night feature event. Starting 12th, Evan would again begin to charge forward. Unfortunately, it would be a tough ending. On the final lap of the feature event, Evan would spin out & finish in the 14th spot.
It was a solid weekend for Evan in Cycleland. They battled some engine issues & some bad luck. Despite that, they nearly brought home two top-10 finishes.
