7/31/23… Antioch, California: Saturday Night, Evan Gularte was back in action with the Joe Hunt Magneto’s Wingless Series at Antioch Speedway. He would put together his best night of the year with the series as he brought home a 7th place finish.
The night would begin with qualifying for Evan. It would not start how he wanted as they would miss the gear. Evan ended up timing the 17m in 19th quickest overall out of 26 Wingless Sprints.
Evan lined up for the heat race on the inside of row three in the 5th spot. He would need to move growers & into the top-4 to transfer to the feature. Evan did just that as he would go from 5th to 4th & make the transfer to the feature.
He went out for the feature & started on. The outside of the seventh row in 14th. Starting 14th, Evan would charge towards the front in the feature. He ended up gaining seven spots & going from 14th to 7th, where he finished & earned the hard charger.
They’ve dealt with adversity all year in the Wingless Sprint. However, things turned around for Evan as he put together his best night of the season in the Wingless Sprint.
