2/29/24... Red Bluff, California: Saturday, Evan Gularte was back in action. He would be in action with the Red Bluff Outlaws for the 10th Points Race of the season as the seasons end is just around the corner.
The day started off with time trials. He would be the 24th Open 500 driver to hit the track. Evan would end up putting down a pretty solid lap. A time of 08.858 was enough to time Evan in 18th quickest overall.
He went out for the heat race & would roll off from the pole position. It would be a tough heat race from Evan & he'd finish in the 6th spot. That set Evan back & he'd have to roll off from the 4th spot in the C-main. He would run a solid race, holding his spot & battling in the top-5 before going on to finish 5th & make the B-main.
As they went into the B-main, Evan was slated to start deep as he rolled off from the 15th spot on the inside for row eight. Starting 15th, Evan was once again battling hard & trying to move forward. He'd gain a trio of spots, getting to 12th but coming up short of a transfer to the feature.
It wasn't the night Evan wanted in Red Bluff. He had a ton of speed got set back in the heat race & was never able to recover. He will be back in action once again this weekend.
