Evan Gularte Makes Big Steps in 2022!

By: Chris Santos

12/12/22… Fast Time Media: Evan would start the 2022 race season off running at the Red Bluff Indoor. He would have a solid start to the season, which included a win in the Open Intermediate class to kick off the 2022 season.

He would spend much of 2022 running with the Joe Hunt Magneto Wingless series. He would start his season off in Petaluma where a great field of 38 Wingless Sprint Cars would show up. Unfortunately he would finish in the 19th spot in the B-main.

As the season continued on, Evan would improve every time he hit the track. In September he would head to Silver Dollar Speedway to open up the Gold Cup with the Hunt Magneto Series. He would take home a 15th place finish.

Just a few weeks later, the Hunt Series would return to Petaluma where Evan looked for a much better finish than earlier in the year. He would get just that as he would come home with another 15th place finish.

One week later the Hunt Series would be in action at the Antioch Speedway. Once again Evan would impress. He would be fast all night & he would end up bringing his first Hunt Series Top-10 as he would finish the night in the 10th position.

The Red Bluff season would begin in late October as Evan would be apart of the Open Intermediate class. Evan would open the 2022 Red Bluff season off with a runner up finish, coming so close to opening the season up with a win. He would get 10th & 3rd place finishes the following week.

A trip to the Stockton Dirt Track would mean the end of the Joe Hunt Magneto Series season. Evan would be in action in a Wingless Sprint Car for the final time in 2022. He would end the season on a very strong note as he was able to bring home an 11th place finish.

Four days later, he would make the trip to Oregon for the Timber 50! The first night would see him take home a great 5th place finish. After a tough second night, Evan would lock into the feature from his heat race on the third & final night. From there he would go on to finish in the 8th spot.

Evan ended his Wingless season with high hopes. “The 2022 season in my non wing spec sprint felt very good! I definitely feel like I learned a lot.“ said Evan, “I am feeling very confident coming into the 2023 season! This dream is definitely coming into a reality! I just want to thank everyone who has gotten me this far!”

Evan’s 2022 Stats: 21 features, 1 win, 6 top-5’s, 14 top-10’s.

Evan would like to thank his sponsors; Jesse Colwell Racing, Gularte Racing Team, Factory QRC, L Delo Designs, and Mettec.
