Evan Gularte Returns To Red Bluff Outlaw Competition!

By: Fast Time Media

2/21/24... Red Bluff, CA: Saturday & Sunday, Evan Gularte was back in action with the Red Bluff Outlaws. It would be the first time Evan was in action in Red Bluff since December as he'd look to have a good weekend.

The weekend got off to a tough start. He'd be the 36th car to hit the track for time trials & did not get the time he wanted. A time of 9.104 was only enough for 31st quick overall. That lined him up in the 7th spot for the heat race. Evan would go on to gain a spot, but only finish 6th.

He'd have to make an alphabet soup run to make the feature event. That would start out with the C-main where Evan started in the 8th spot. He quickly began to move forward when the green flag fell as he'd end up getting to 2nd & finishing there.

Evan would transfer to the B-main but had to roll off from the 12th spot. Once again, he began to move forward quickly. He'd need to get into the top-6 to make the feature & was close. Unfortunately, he'd come up one spot short as he finished in the 7th spot.

Sunday, Evan would need to get the day off to a much better start. He would end up doing just that. In time trials, he was the 19th car to hit the track & ended up timing in 7th quick, a 24 spot improvement from Saturday.

That lined him up 3rd on the inside of row two for his heat race. After starting 3rd, Evan would quickly move forward. He got to the lead & went on to win the heat race. A heat race win was enough to put Evan in the Trophy Dash. He would start on the pole, and went on to finish 2nd.

A much better night on Sunday allowed Evan to have a 2nd place starting spot for the feature. He would battle hard during the feature, trying to stay in a spot to have a chance to grab the win. Unfortunately, his race came to an early end as he would be done with 8 laps to go.

Overall, it was a solid return to Red Bluff for Evan. He had good speed both nights, especially on Sunday as he was able to battle for a win & battle up front all day.

Evan would like to thank his sponsors: Sal Calderon Racing, Salco Better Energy, Pedrotti Materials, Gularte Racing Team, Jesse Colwell Racing, 3D Structural Engineering, Bank of Nana of and Papa, QRC Karts, and Jimmy Elledge Motors.
