11/3/22…Red Bluff California: Saturday, Evan Gularte and his team would make the trip to Red Bluff California for Points Race #2 of the 2022-2023 Red Bluff Outlaw Kart season. Another solid field of 15 Open Intermediate Karts would be in the pit area and ready to roll.
Evan would get his night off in qualifying where he would be the 5th Kart of 15 to hit the track. Going out 5th, Evan would be able to lay down a very good lap. That lap would put him 2nd quick out of the 15 Open Intermediate Outlaw Karts.
The heat race would see Evan roll off from the 4th spot outside of row 2. Starting 4th, Evan would get rolling, battling his way through the top-4. He would eventually take the lead and never look back as he would go on to win his heat race and lock himself into the dash.
In the dash Evan would start on the inside of row number 3 in the 5th spot. Starting 5th, he would just try and gain as many spots as he can to improve his starting spot. He would end up getting to the 3rd spot and setting himself up nicely for the feature event.
Evan would start the feature on the inside of row 2 in the 3rd spot. He seemed poised for a great finish. However an issue would end up bringing his night to an end as he would fall back and end up finishing in the 10th spot.
Sunday, Evan and his team would once again make the trip to Red Bluff California for Points Race #3 of the season and the Tyler Wolf Memorial. This time only 13 Open Intermediate Outlaw Karts would make the trip on Sunday.
His night would once again get rolling with qualifying. Evan would again go out early as he was the 4th car of 13 to hit the track. He would end up laying down another very good lap that would put him 2nd quick.
The heat race would see him roll off from the outside of row 2 in 4th. He would not have the same success in the heat race as on Saturday. After starting 4th, he would have more issues and fall back to 6th where he finished.
Evan would start from the 11th spot in the feature. Starting 11th, things would start to go his way as he would battle through the field. When the checkered flag fell, Evan would finish in the 3rd spot and go plus 8 in the feature.
Overall it was a good Weekend for Evan and his team. If not for some issues, he would have a race winning car on both nights and was still able to salvage some solid results.
