10/10/22…Antioch California: Saturday night Evan Gularte was once again in action with the Joe Hunt Magneto Series. A very strong field of 28 wingless spec sprints were in the pit area ready to roll on Saturday Night.
Evan would rollout for Single car qualifying, as he would need a good lap to set himself up nicely for the night. He would end up going 21st quick out of 28 wingless spec sprints.
After his 21st place qualifying efforts, he would line up in the sixth spot for the heat race. Starting sixth in the heat Evan would battle hard in the heat race. However, when the checkered flag fell, he would finish sixth just two spots out of a transfer.
That would line Evan up in the fifth spot for the B-main event. Starting fifth Evan would need to get inside the top four to make the feature. He would do just that as he would move from fifth to third and transfer to the Saturday night feature event in Antioch California.
The feature would see him in the 19th spot. He would show very good speed in the feature making moves through the field. Evan would end up getting up to 10th and finishing there, going +9 in the feature and earning a top ten finish.
His Saturday night finish would be his best career finish with the Joe Hunt Magneto Wingless Series. Evan has improved all season and now earned his first ever top 10 with the series.
