10/3/22…Petaluma California: Saturday night, Evan and his team, would make the trip to Petaluma California for the final visit of the season for the Joe Hunt Magneto Series. A solid field of 28 non-winged cars would be in the pit area ready to roll on Saturday night.
Evan would start his night off with single car qualifying in Petaluma. He would go out and lay an okay lap down that would put him 20th quick out of the 28 non-wing sprint cars in Petaluma.
His qualifying lap would put him on the inside of row three in the fourth starting spot in the final heat race. Starting fifth Evan would struggle in his heat race as he would fall back one spot. He would end up finishing 6th 2 spots out of a transfer position.
His heat raise effort would line him up on the outside of row 3 in the 6th position for the B-main. Starting 6th he would need to stay in the top six to transfer to the feature. He would do just that as he would drive all the way up to the lead and win the B-main event.
Courtesy of his B-main win he would start in the 17th position inside of row nine. Evan would show solid speed in the feature as he was able to move up two positions. When the checkered flag fell, he would finish in the 15th position and bring home another solid top 15 with the Joe Hunt Magneto Sprint Car Series.
Besides a tough start to the night it was a solid Saturday night for Evan and his team. He was able to move forward in the B-main and then bring home a solid 15th place finish in the feature event Saturday night in the last visit of the season to Petaluma.
