6/26/23… Placerville, California: Saturday Night, Hunter Owens was in action at Placerville Speedway. 12 wingless 360 Sprint Cars would be in action on the Hill on Saturday Night. It would be just the second race in 2023 for Hunter Owens.
The night would begin with qualifying, where Hunter was the 12th car to hit the track. He ended up laying down a time of 13.688. Unfortunately, when he got to the scales, he ended up being light & getting disqualified.
“Had a good night dq in qualifying cause we didn't make weight.“
He started his heat race from the 5th position on the inside of row number three. Starting 5th, Hunter was able to move forward. He gained one spot in his heat race & was able to bring home a 4th place finishing position in the heat.
When the feature came around Hunter rolled off from the 10th spot on the outside of row number five. He continued his good night as he charged forward in the feature. When the checkered flag fell, he would finish in the 6th spot.
It would be his best finish of 2023 as he impressed in just his third race of the season. Hunter will look to continue to find speed as the rest of the season goes on.
