Hunter Owens Has Chaotic 2023 Race Season!

By: Fast Time Media

12/15/23... Press Release: This season, Hunter Ownes would hop aboard the Wingless Sprint for the swcond race season in his young career. He would actually have a solid start to the season, but had an early end after a hard wreck in Placerville.

The season began on May 13th at Cottage Grove Speedway. He would end up running with the Wingless Sprint Series & put together a good start to the season. When the night came to an end, he'd end up finishing 10th & rounding out the top-10 to start the season.

Next up was Placerville on June 24th when he put together his best run of the season. With 12 Wingless Sprints in attendance, the night got off to a tough start as he was DQ'd in qualifying. Hunter would end up rebounding later in the night, as he'd charge from 12th to 6th in the feature.

Unfortunately, on September 2nd his season came to an early & unfortunate end. While running the Nor-Cal Posse Shootout in Placerville, Hunter went for a wild ride. He'd sustain some injuries that ended up bringing his season to an end. Luckily, Hunter has made a full recovery & is ready for 2024.

"Well our season was chaotic to say the least first race our motor blew up. Petaluma in August was fun learned alot made some driver mistakes but a pretty good night. Norcal posse shootout I flipped about 3/4 of the way up the exit ramp. Good news was I was alert when they got to the car it definitely knocked me out just couldn't see anything but black for a couple hours then was just blurry for about 2 weeks. Both my lugs were bruised a concussion and blurry vision."

Despite a rough ending to 2023, Hunter learned a lot during the season & will carry that into the 2024 race season. They will be ready to go when the season goes around as Hunter will begin his 2nd full season behind the wheel of a Wingless Sprint.

Hunter would like to thank his sponsors; J&J pumps, Keetons machine shop, & Shasta Pizza.

Next Race: TBA

2023 season stats: 5 events, 2 features, 0 wins, 0 top-5's, 1 top-10's.
