Isaiah Vasquez Has Year Full of Bad Luck!

By: Chris Santos

12/15/22… Fast Time Media: This season was a year full of ups & downs for Isaiah Vasquez. He would spend most of his season running with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour. All season long, Isaiah would face adversity as things would just not go his way.

The season would start off with the Silver Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway. Isaiah would make the feature both nights & would be able to bring homes finishes 20th & 18th against a field of 45 cars on both nights.

Next up would be the opening night of the Sprint Car Challenge Tour season in Placerville. Isaiah would end up having one of the best nights of his 2022 season here. He would have a very fast car all night & bring it home with a 5th place finish.

Isaiah would continue to have strong runs with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour throughout the season. He would not miss a feature all year until May 29th in Marysville. Despite that, he would still find himself in the top-5 in points as he looked to continue his strong season.

After a few strong runs, he would return to Placerville Speedway looking for another great run on July 4th. Isaiah would get just that, as he would bring home his best finish of the year, in the 4th position, marking just his second top-5 of the 2022 race season.

Despite the bad luck, he would continue truckin along, looking to secure a top-5 points finish. He would accumulate feature appearances in all but one race in the months of August & September. However his September would end in heart break as he would flip hard at Silver Dollar Speedway & destroy his car.

He would run a Midget race in early October but spend most of the next month out of action as they looked to rebuild & finish off the 2022 season in a busy month of November. His final Winged Sprint Car race would be in Stockton where he would finish 18th.

To end the 2022 year, he would make a trip to Adobe Mountain Speedway to run a Midget in Arizona. It would be a solid trip for Isaiah, as when it was all said and done, he would bring home a solid 6th place finish to end the season.

Even though things did not go his way, Isaiah would persevere through his adversity and figure out a way to keep going. He would finish the Sprint Car Challenge Tour season in the 5th position in points despite missing a race in Hanford.

Isaiah’s 2022 stats: 27 features, 0 wins, 2 top-5’s, 6 top-10’s.
