11/8/22…Stockton California: Saturday Night, Isaiah Vasquez and his team would return to action at the Stockton Dirt Track after over a month off of racing. They looked to end the Sprint Car Challenge Tour season on a strong note. A solid field of 21 Winged 360 Sprint Cars would be in the pit area, ready to end the 2022 season.
He would get his night rolling in qualifying where he would be the very last car out in his group and in qualifying overall. He would lay down a decent lap but being in a tough group, it would only put him 5th quick out of the 7 Winged 360 Sprint Cars in his group.
The heat race would see him start on the inside of row 3 in the 5th starting position. Starting 5th, he would just try and move forward spots as every car made the feature. However, he would end up falling back 1 spot and finishing the heat race in the 6th position.
For the feature, Isaiah would start on the outside of row 8 in the 16th spot. Early on he would just stay around there. However around 10 laps in he would end up pulling off the track and finishing the feature in the 18th spot and bringing his Sprint Car Challenge Tour season to an end.
It was a pretty solid season for Isaiah and his team. Despite all the bad luck they’ve had, they would finish off the season and come home with a 5th place points finish despite missing a race in Hanford.
