11/18/22…Glendale Arizona: Saturday Night, Isaiah Vasquez would make a rare WMR Midget appearance as they would make the trip to Adobe Mountain Speedway in Glendale Arizona. A strong field of 20 WMR Midgets would be in the pit area ready to roll on Saturday Night.
They would get straight into heat races as the WMR Midgets do not do qualifying. Isaiah would roll out for his heat race on the inside of row 3 in the 5th spot. He would end up gaining 1 spot & finishing in the 4th spot. “I drew a bad pill so i started 5th in my heat & ran 4th.”
Isaiah would then line up on the inside of the 7th row in the 13th starting position for the feature. In a new ride Isaiah would show great speed in the feature event as he would start to charge through the field early.
He would be fast all feature as he would make moves. Late in the race he would find himself in the top-10 as he continued to charge forward. When the checkered flag fell Isaiah would finish in the 6th spot as he would go plus 7 positions. “I started 13th in the main event and finished 6th.”
Overall it was a solid night for Isaiah. He would quickly get adapted to an unfamiliar ride & track, and overcome a bad pill draw to move forward in both his heat race & the feature, nearly grabbing a top-5 finish.
