By: Chris Santos

4/10/23... Antioch California: This Saturday Night, The Joe Hunt Magneto Wingless Series will try & kick off their 2023 season for the third time. This time, they will give it a go at the Antioch Speedway for the 2023 season opener.

The originally scheduled season opener at Petaluma Speedway has once again been postponed. With saturated ground & continued showers, Petaluma had no choice but to reschedule the 2023 Randy Larson Memorial for Saturday, April 22nd.

Saturday's Antioch Speedway opener will be an exciting show. The winner will bring home $1500 & it also pays $200 to start the feature. Once again there will be a B-main purse as well, as the Joe Hunt Series is expecting a strong car count at the Antioch Speedway.

October 8th, 2022 was the last time the Hunt Series visited the Antioch Speedway. Twenty-Eight cars would make the last show at Antioch. When it was all said & done, Shawn Jones would end up bringing home the win with the Hunt Wingless Series.

Pit gates open up at 2:00 on Saturday, as cars will pile into the pit area. General Admission gates open up at 4:00, & cars will hit the track for hot laps at 5:30. Then the racing action will begin at 6:00 as the Hunt Series will be joined by IMCA Sport Mods & 600 Micro Sprints.
