5/15/24… Chico, California: Friday & Saturday Night, John Clark was in action at Silver Dollar Speedway & Antioch Speedway. The weekend began on Friday where John was in action at Silver Dollar Speedway with the 360 under the hood.

The night started out with time trials, where John was the 12th car to hit the track in the group. They ended up laying down a time of 12.414 which timed in 13th quickest in the group. Going out for tbe heat race, John started in the 7th spot & was able to get to 5th & finish there.

John locked into the feature & would roll off from the 20th starting spot. The track was rough & the feature was full of cautions. Avoiding all the wrecks, John stayed out of trouble & was able to gain a handful of spots & finish the feature in 15th.

“On Friday the team decided to head to Chico. It was a good turn out with 44 cars showing up. The night started out qualifying 13th in our group. In the heat race I started 7th & got up to 6th early on. There was a caution with a few laps to go & I got some luck on my side & made it to 5th to transfer straight to the A. It was a rough track for the main event & felt like it was survival. I was able to gain a few spots & finish the night out in 5th.”

Saturday Night, John looked to have another solid run in Antioch. With 28 cars in attendance, the night started with time trials where John was the very first car in group one to hit the track. Laying down a time of 12.923, John ended up timing in 11th quickest in the group.

John went out for the heat race & started in the 6th spot. From the 6th spot, John was able to hold onto the 6th spot & finished there, missing the transfer to the feature. That put John in the B-main where they would start & finish 2nd, locking into the feature.

“Saturday we decided to make it a two day race day & bring the 410 out to Antioch. The night started with me qualifying 11th in my group. That would put me starting 6th in the heat race where I would end up finishing & getting sent to the B-main. In the B-main I started 2nd & finished 2nd transferring to the A- main.”

Locking into the feature event, John started deep as they rolled off from 22nd. The car was tight during the feature & John had to battle it all feature. When it was all said & done, John came from 22nd to 18th & finished there.

“In the A-main I fought a tight car, but was able to finish the race in 18th. It was good seat time in the 410 and we showed some good speed. Overall it was a good weekend making both A-mains & rolling into the trailer with no damage to either car.”

It was indeed a very good weekend for John & the team. Both nights, they made the feature & were able to stay out of trouble while running every lap & getting good laps on track.

John would like to thank there sponsors: CCI Electrical, VSR, Buster’s BBQ, & Jerry’s Valero.
