7/6/23… Antioch, California: Saturday Night, John Clark was in action with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour. John would bring home a 12th place finish. Then on Tuesday, they were in action at Silver Dollar Speedway for the 4th of July race where John would come home 11th.

John started the night out as the 7th car to hit the track for qualifying in group one. John laid down a time of 13.371 which put them 3rd quickest overall in the group. John lined up on the outside of the front row in the heat race & came home where they started in 2nd.

“I would start of the night qualifying 3rd fasted in my group which lined me up 2nd in the heat race.

In the heat race I would finish second advancing to the A-main.”

The feature event saw John roll off from the 9th position. Starting 9th, John would battle most of the race in the top-10. As the race went on, John slowly slipped backwards & would finish the feature event in the 12th spot.

“In the A-main I started 9th and will a lot of battles I would run strong but lose a couple positions ending the Main in 12th.“

Going into Tuesday, John looked to have another great night at Silver Dollar Speedway. The driver of the 12J started the night timing in 7th quick in the group. John started the feature in 7th, but charged forward to bring home a 4th place finish & make the feature event.

“I would go out early on a super hooked up track and unfortunately the gear we had in the car was not the one we needed to qualify on a heavy track. I would end up qualifying 7th in the group. That lined me up starting 7th in the heat and I knew I had to be on it if I wanted to Transfer. I ended up making a few passes and was able to finish 4th going straight to the A.”

Heading into the feature, the driver of the CCI Racing 12J lined up on the outside of row eight in 16th. John battled into the top-10 as the race went on. Late in the feature, John slipped backwards & would finish the feature event in the 11th position.

“In the main I started 16th and was able to make some passes and have good battles in the Top 10 eventually finishing 11th in the main. Overall even though we set ourselves back with qualifying I was able to salvage a good finish.“

Overall, it was another good weekend of racing for John Clark. They put together two good runs & continue to put together some pretty solid results this season.
