John Clark Takes First Laps at Newly Configured Stockton Dirt Track!

By: Fast Time Media

4/12/24… Stockton, California: Saturday Night, John Clark was back in action with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars. They would be in action at the Stockton Dirt Track, as John was able to take there first laps at the newly re-configured track.

John started the night out with time trials. The driver of the #12J would be the 4th car to hit the track in group B. They ended up laying down a decent time. However, a time of 14.101 was only enough to time John in 12th quickest in the group.

That set them up to roll off from the outside of row three in the 6th starting spot. After starting 6th, John needed to get into the top-5 to make the feature. It was a hard fought battle in the heat race, but John would end up finishing in the 6th spot & having to go to the B-main.

“We decided to bring the 410 out to the newly configured Stockton dirt track on Saturday. The night started out with qualifying where I would run a decent lap but just needed a little more. In the heat I started 6th & got close to taking the 5th spot away but fell a little short.”

Going out for the B-main, John rolled off from the inside of row three in the 5th spot. Early on while battling for the fourth & final transfer spot, John spun & had to tag the back of the field. There ended up being a little damage, and John would only be able to get back to the 10th spot.

“In the B-main I started 5th & was battling for the 4th and final transfer spot when contact was made with another car resulting in me spinning around,” John continued. “I restarted in the back of the field & couldn’t move forward as the car seemed off a little. Later on we found out the wing ram lost a bolt making my wing adjust to low.”

While they didn’t get the results they wanted, it was a solid night for John & the team. They were able to get some laps in for the most part, bring the car home in one piece to end the weekend off.

John would like to thank there sponsors: CCI Electrical, VSR, Buster’s BBQ, & Jerry’s Valero.
