5/22/24… Bakersfield, California: Saturday Night, Colby Johnson was back in action. Once again, the wings were off as Colby was in action with the Ultimate Sprint Car Series at Bakersfield Speedway on Saturday Night.
The night began with time trials. Colby would go out in the 3rd & final group. He ended up laying down a time of 14.601. That would be enough to time him in 4th quickest in his group & 12th quickest overall in time trials.
Heat race action rolled around & Colby looked to gain as many spots as possible. Colby went to work & began to move forward. As they came to the checkered, Colby made a last lap pass on the back stretch to get into 2nd where he’d end up finishing the heat race.
Witt the feature rolling around, Colby once again had some work to do. The green fell & he began to make his way towards. Colby was able to make his way forward & when the checkered flag fell, he’d finish in the 7th spot.
It was a good night for Colby with the wings off at Bakersfield Speedway. He was able to move forward every time he hit a he track & brought home a top-10 finish to end the night.
