6/14/24… Antioch, California: Saturday Night, Josh Gillis was back in action with the Joe Hunt Wingless Sprint Tour at Antioch Speedway. It was a solid field of Wingless Sprints with 24 cars in attendance on Saturday Night.
The night started off with time trials. Josh would be the 10th of 24 Wingless Sprints to hit the track. Going out around halfway through the field, Josh was able to lay down a solid time, but it was only enough for him to time in 23rd quickest overall.
Josh went out for the heat race, & he’d roll off from the outside of the 4th row in the 8th starting spot. Josh was able to run a solid heat race & gain a spot. When the heat race came to a finish, Josh would finish in the 7th spot.
Going out for the feature event, Josh would roll off from deep as he started the feature on the outside of row eleven in the 22nd spot. As he started deep, Josh was able to charge forward. He’d gain over a handful of spots, getting up to the 16th spot where he’d finish.
It was a good night for Josh in Antioch. After a tough start to the night, he’d bounce back in the main event & bring home a decent results as he’d finish in the 22nd spot.
